This is a role at RMIT University where you will be responsible for the acquisition, metadata management, and creation and maintenance of access for digital and print resources. The successful applicant will have a high degree of technical knowledge, including analytical skills, for collection acquisition and access.

The role supports teaching, learning and research at RMIT University and involves managing a team of 6 employees who acquire and process electronic and print one-time purchases, including subscription textbooks. The position requires a high degree of knowledge of the Alma library management system to support sound decision-making for 2025 projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a library acquisitions, metadata or digitisation environment and a good understanding of current and emerging practices in this area, particularly in the management and acquisition of eBooks and digital objects.

The RMIT University Library is a creative partner in the achievement of RMIT University's teaching, learning and research strategic goals. It engages with other groups within the University to design initiatives that have a positive impact on the student experience, including the provision of direct support, peer mentoring facilitation, advice and guidance for students' academic skill development.

In 2022, the Library recorded over 15 million engagements with its communities across its products and services.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team, inspiring staff development, driving performance and successfully leading a team. They will also be expected to work collaboratively and through positive influence.
