Role Overview:

The specialist eating disorder position of Clinical Eating Disorder Lead plays a critical role in improving the care and treatment of young people with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated pathways of care within healthcare services.
  • Work closely with a designated Consultant Psychiatrist for clinical governance.
  • Collaborate with professionals across the state to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years postgraduate experience in mental health, or 10 years experience as a registered psychologist.
  • Current registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for membership with AASW.
  • Significant experience working with people impacted by eating disorders and receiving treatment in public healthcare systems.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong commitment to high-quality care.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
