Job Description

As an Eating Disorders Senior Clinician, you will work with a dynamic and supportive team to provide secondary consultation and reflective practice support to clinicians and teams. You will also develop and facilitate eating disorder foundational and treatment model training.

Additionally, you will co-facilitate adjunctive eating disorders multi-family group clinical programs and work with Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Services (AMHWS) and the broader health sector to improve local systems of care for eating disorders.

Finally, you will contribute to the implementation of the Victorian Eating Disorder Strategy (VEDS) 2024-2031 and participate in fixed-term parental leave vacancies as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 3-5 years' clinical experience in the mental health field and experience in providing outpatient or community-based evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, or adults experiencing eating disorders.

Furthermore, you should have experience in the provision of education and training for health professionals and hold a current Victorian driver's license. Travel throughout Victoria is required.

  • Qualifications: Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (all disciplines except Social Work & Dietetics).
  • Essential:
    • At least 3 - 5 years' clinical experience in the mental health field.
    • Experience in provision of outpatient / community evidence-based treatment for children / adolescent, or adults experiencing eating disorders.
    • Experience in the provision of education and training for health professionals.
    • A current Victorian driver's license and ability and willingness to travel throughout Victoria.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience and competence in the delivery of clinical services to children, youth and families experiencing eating disorders in a CYMHWS setting.
    • Experience in providing clinical case consultation, clinical supervision or mentoring of health professionals.
    • Family therapy knowledge and skills.
