Our Kwinana Pigment Plant is a state-of-the-art refinery that has been in production for over 30 years, producing high-quality titanium dioxide pigment for domestic and international customers.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Operations Manager to join our team at the Kwinana Pigment Plant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 60 employees, including engineers, coordinators, supervisors, schedulers, and operators, to ensure the safe and efficient production of our titanium-based pigment product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of production employees to operate a safe plant, ensuring adherence to plant procedures, task instructions, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure the production plan integrates seamlessly with the maintenance schedule, aligning production resources to execute the maintenance schedule.
  • Oversee the department's forecasting, planning, and execution activities to ensure budgeted production and financial targets are achieved.
  • Implement process optimization, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive business performance.

Requirements:

  • A qualification in science or chemical engineering is desirable, but refinery-based operations management experience is equally valued.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and performance manage a large team.
  • Commitment to safety and a history of leading by example in relation to safety standards and performance.
  • Drive and commitment to respond to the needs of shift teams on a continuous roster.
  • Enthusiastic leader looking to drive change, be goal-focused, and achieve extraordinary outcomes.

About the Role:

The Production Operations Manager will play a key role in maintaining and improving the safety, environment, quality production, and business performance aspects of the Kwinana operation.

This is a senior position and a key member of the site leadership team, offering significant scope for growth and development.
