Project Overview

Talent International is seeking a seasoned Data Governance Specialist to join our team in Burwood. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing components of a data management catalogue software and leading a data migration project.

About the Role
  • Deliver Components of a Data Management Catalogue Software: You will lead the development and implementation of a data management catalogue software solution, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Manage Data Migration Projects: With a focus on delivering high-quality results, you will oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to modern platforms, minimizing disruptions and ensuring business continuity.
  • Budget, Costs, Resourcing, and Scheduling: As a Project Manager, you will effectively control budget, costs, resourcing, and schedules associated with building the new platform, ensuring timely completion within allocated budgets.
  • Stakeholder Influence and Relationship Management: You will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including executive teams, senior managers, and cross-functional teams, influencing and negotiating to drive project success.
  • Project Status Reporting: You will prepare comprehensive project status reports for executive and senior audiences, providing actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
Your Qualifications
  • Strong Project Management Experience: With a proven track record in managing data governance and management projects, you will bring expertise in data migration, quality issues, and real-time data pipelines in mission-critical environments.
  • Data Governance and Policy Development: You will have exposure to data governance and policy development, enabling you to effectively advise on best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • GIS Technology and ESRI Platform: Familiarity with GIS technology and specifically the ESRI platform would be an advantage, allowing you to contribute to the development of geospatial solutions.
  • Government Experience: Previous government experience will be viewed favorably, bringing valuable insights into public sector requirements and regulations.
