Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Water Sector

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering teams in Newcastle, where you will play a key role in creating sustainable solutions for the water sector.

The water industry is facing numerous challenges, and this presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to delivering positive project outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design for infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems, pumping stations, and more.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.
  • Work closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

About You / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject; ideally Chartered status or working towards it.
  • Experience in detailed design within the water industry; a background working for or with delivery contractors would be beneficial.
