Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our school community.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH. They will be patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with pupils, promoting inclusion and creating a safe, positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support for students with SEN, developing strategies to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons, ensuring all students can participate fully.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and pupils alike.
  • A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through the relevant authorities.
  • Availability for term-time, full-time work, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
