We are a leader in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for those experiencing psychological distress.
The Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre will provide the community with a free, safe and welcoming space to access mental health advice, supports and services. Walk-ins will be welcomed, services are confidential, and no appointment or referral will be required.
Our ServicesWe offer a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support, tailored to the needs of the community in regional NSW. This includes:
- A safe and welcoming environment for individuals to access mental health advice and support
- Peer-led recovery programs to empower individuals in their recovery journey
- Clinical support from trained mental health professionals
Our services are designed to provide an alternative to presenting to the Emergency Department for low-risk individuals. We strive to make mental health support accessible and convenient for our community.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker
- Flexibility to work afternoons & evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Knowledge & understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use
- Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills
- The ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders
- Experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer, and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
- Will be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
