Workforce Development Leader

This is a pivotal role that requires transformational leadership to drive strategic workforce development and ensure the organization has the right people, skills, and systems in place to deliver its mission.

  • Ongoing training and upskilling are essential to ensure the workforce grows and maintains the necessary capabilities, skills, and experience to support current and emerging programs.
  • Partnerships with government, education, and industry are crucial to grow Australia's sovereign submarine talent base and develop a national workforce legacy.
  • Drive cultural change and embed innovative workforce systems that directly impact business outcomes and contribute to a high-performing organization.

This senior leadership role ensures the organization can field suitably qualified and experienced personnel at scale, shaping a lasting national workforce legacy.

About You

  • You are an experienced senior leader (10+ years) who has worked within complex, high-risk industries.
  • You bring:
    • Proven success in designing and implementing workforce development programs aligned to strategic goals.
    • A strong understanding of workforce trends, regulations, and training standards.
    • Experience leading large-scale change programs.
    • A track record of inspiring high-performing teams and engaging diverse stakeholders.
    • Proven experience in stakeholder management, influencing stakeholders at senior levels (internally and externally).
