THE ROLE
TOM People are partnering with a leading insurance organisation to recruit a Learning & Capability Risk Manager. We're looking for a seasoned Learning & Development professional who understands the risk space and can design impactful learning programs that resonate across the organisation.
You'll be a natural communicator and relationship builder, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels. Your commercial acumen and ability to translate complex concepts into practical, business-focused solutions will set you apart. This is a strategic position where your influence, presence, and people skills are as important as your L&D capability.
This role offers the opportunity to partner with senior leaders to embed a proactive risk culture and ensure teams have the skills, knowledge, and tools to manage non-financial risks effectively.
DUTIES
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking risk learning strategy.
- Design, deliver, and track engaging training programs across multiple business units.
- Use data-driven insights to measure impact and refine learning solutions.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify capability gaps and create tailored learning pathways.
- Introduce innovative, multi-modal learning approaches to strengthen organisational culture.
ABOUT YOU
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in learning & development roles, ideally in financial services or risk environments.
- Proven experience designing and delivering impactful learning programs.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate risk concepts into accessible learning.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, confident and persuasive in engaging with senior leaders and diverse audiences.
- Constructively challenge stakeholders and collaboratively achieve the best outcomes.
- Highly organised with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, independent working style with a passion for continuous improvement.
