The Role
We are seeking a talented professional to deliver impactful sustainability solutions across our operations in Australia and New Zealand.
This exciting opportunity will involve collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategies and initiatives that drive our transition to becoming an industry leader in environmental responsibility.
An innovative thinker, you will participate in the development of comprehensive sustainability plans and execute them effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Strategy: Assist in developing and delivering our company's sustainability strategy and goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement action plans aligned with our values and operations.
- Environmental Impact: Evaluate and enhance our environmental practices by developing assessment metrics, collecting data on energy consumption, waste, and emissions, and working with stakeholders to reduce our environmental footprint.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sustainability data to set targets and prepare internal and external reports. Manage our carbon and emissions capture application.
- Compliance Risk Management: Stay updated on relevant legislation, ensure compliance, and provide support for certifications and prequalifications.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a sustainability or environmental role is highly desirable.
- Industry experience in construction, mining, or industrial services would be an asset.
- A degree in environmental management, sustainability, or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in sustainability reporting standards (GRI, TCFD, IFRS, SASB, UN SDGs) is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and documentation with accuracy.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
- Superb communication and people skills.
- A valid driver's license in Western Australia is mandatory.
- Strong computer and systems skills.
