Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Youth Justice Program Manager to lead our intensive mentoring and support service for young people aged 10-17 years involved in the youth justice system.

The program focuses on reducing reoffending and building sustainable futures through supporting young people as they transition back into community life.

  • This includes developing and implementing individual support plans with Youth Justice and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Driving quality program planning and implementation across sites.
  • Providing coaching and support to colleagues, strengthening practice capability.
  • Building and sustaining strong partnerships with internal teams, government agencies, community Elders, and service providers.
  • Holding a small client caseload, applying trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice.
  • Overseeing case management, monitoring and evaluation, and risk management processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people involved in the justice system.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach staff, lead program quality, and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field (or equivalent significant experience).
