Job Overview

The Engagement & Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering initial onboarding activities and ongoing pastoral care to internationally sourced employee groups through the PALM Mobility Program.

This position is responsible for providing end-to-end support and pastoral care to new employees across various arrival activities, including accommodation, transport, shopping, banking, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support and pastoral care to new employees during their integration process.
  • Collaborate with the Pacific Labour Facility (PLF) to ensure efficiency and sponsor obligations are met.
  • Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders to provide direction, advice, and query management.
  • Support process improvements and ad-hoc reporting as required by business units.
  • Maintain accurate data records for immigration and reporting purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably with a high-volume blue-collar workforce.
  • Familiarity or experience working with the PLF in coordinating/supporting the PALM Scheme.
  • Experience working with an 'Approved Employer' under the auspices of The PALM Scheme.
  • Knowledge of worker placements from one of the 9 Pacific Island Countries covered by the PALM Scheme.
  • Ability to provide situational leadership, identify cause-and-effect relationships, and respond calmly in difficult situations.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
