Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Specialist

Narrogin Primary School seeks a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join their team. This permanent part-time position involves maintaining the school's outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees, and soft landscapes. They will also maintain hard landscaping features, conduct minor repairs, and keep gardening facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery in good condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the school grounds in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Oversee the upkeep of turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees, and soft landscapes.
  • Maintain hard landscaping features, including courts and paving.
  • Conduct minor repairs, adhering to departmental policies.
  • Keep gardening facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery in good condition.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Working With Children Check.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
