Full-Time Mental Health Clinical Nurse Position

Our organization is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team in this endeavor.

The successful candidate will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided. They will be responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to NSQHS standards and hospital policy and procedure
  • Providing evidence-based nursing care
  • Liaising with the multidisciplinary team
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety
  • Ensuring eLearning and mandatory training is completed on a regular basis
  • Liaising with Psychiatrists and other members of the MDT
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • 5+ years' experience in a mental health inpatient setting
  • Addictions/detox experience preferable (not essential)
  • A demonstrated interest in the field of addictive behaviors, specialization in the field, substantial experience, or postgraduate qualifications or continual professional development
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE)
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
  • Knowledge of adult learning practices and contemporary education practices
  • Postgraduate qualifications in mental health or addiction disorders (desirable)
