Job Overview

The role of Senior Construction Procurement Officer is a dynamic opportunity to work closely with project managers within the Housing Development Branch and Homes Victoria.

  • This position requires providing expert advice on public construction and goods & services procurement processes, negotiations, approval frameworks and control gates to internal clients and stakeholders.
  • A key responsibility will be actively monitoring and reporting on project progress, particularly in relation to project commitments and forecast, and project risks to resolve any difficulties as they arise.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external, to facilitate a partnership approach to working with the industry is crucial.
  • Promoting best practice procurement processes is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities

Maintaining accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and departmental policies and procedures is vital. Additionally, taking reasonable care for personal health and safety and that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and departmental occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures is mandatory.
