Job Summary

The Capsules Operator plays a critical role in maintaining line safety, quality, and performance, working alongside production leaders and maintenance teams on continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Activities: Start-up/Shutdown Procedures – Conduct pre-start-up checks to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in shutting down equipment and the area as per standard operating procedures.
  • Operational Activities: Clean, Inspect, Lubricate (CIL) – Perform CIL activities to maintain equipment and return it to its original standard. Escalate abnormal equipment conditions or safety hazards.
  • Operational Activities: Material Availability – Pick and return packaging and raw materials from warehouse locations to designated staging areas, adhering to 5S standards.
  • Operational Activities: Quality – Conduct quality checks and monitor product quality against set standards, reporting any defects or abnormalities.
  • Safety: Comprehensive Knowledge – Possess a thorough understanding of safe practices and systems relevant to the North Rocks site, with a focus on creating a safe working environment.
  • Workplace Hazards: Knowledge and Mitigation – Recognize potential hazards and risks in the work environment, utilizing appropriate safety and environmental procedures to mitigate them.
  • Environment: Waste Reduction – Work to minimize waste through proper handling of hazardous materials and understand the importance of minimizing the impact of operations on health, safety, and the environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Awareness and Knowledge – Be aware of performance measures to identify and prioritize losses in production areas, providing descriptions of problems and monitoring process issues.
  • Teamwork: Good Team Member – Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, supportiveness, and reliability as a team member.
  • Communication: Effective Communication – Communicate issues related to safety and provide operational observations and inputs to support decision-making.
