Job Summary

The Capsules Operator plays a critical role in maintaining line safety, quality, and performance, working alongside production leaders and maintenance teams on continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Activities: Start-up/Shutdown Procedures – Conduct pre-start-up checks to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in shutting down equipment and the area as per standard operating procedures.
  • Operational Activities: Clean, Inspect, Lubricate (CIL) – Perform CIL activities to maintain and return equipment to its original standard. Escalate abnormal equipment conditions or safety hazards promptly.
  • Operational Activities: Material Availability – Pick and return packaging and raw materials from warehouse locations to designated staging areas, adhering to 5S standards.
  • Operational Activities: Quality – Conduct quality checks and monitor product quality against set standards, reporting any defects or abnormalities.
  • Operational Activities: Administration – Conduct effective hand-over activities, accurately recording events and allocating downtime in the Operations and Facilities System.
Requirements:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safe practices and systems relevant to the North Rocks site.
  • Active participation in safety discussions to create a safe working environment.
  • Knowledge of potential hazards and risks in the work environment and job activities.
  • Utilization of safety and environmental procedures to mitigate hazards.
  • Awareness of how to use performance measures to identify and prioritize losses in production areas.
  • Engagement in root cause analysis tools and WCM practices.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of agility and hand-eye coordination.
