Job Title: Legal Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a legal professional to join our team, working in multiple areas of law. This role will allow you to experience various practice areas and develop your skills and knowledge.

The position is for an initial contract period with the prospect of a full-time role at its conclusion. It is suitable for those who have commenced Practical Legal Training or have relevant work experience.

About the Role:

The duties of the position include:

  • Drafting legal correspondence and Court documents;
  • Conducting legal research;
  • Meeting and liaising with clients, taking instructions from them, and providing legal advice;
  • Managing files and assisting a senior lawyer with matters; and
  • Shadowing a senior lawyer in Court.

Selection Criteria:

Essential criteria include:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good time management and organisational skills;
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Good work ethic;
  • Attention to detail; and
  • A keen interest in the relevant area(s) of law.

Desirable criteria include relevant extracurricular activities and experience in a law firm setting.

Key Skills:

Strong research and writing skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
