This strategic leadership position oversees a highly skilled team of power system engineers who drive innovation in their field. The leader is responsible for guiding up to ten individuals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes the sharing of ideas and expertise.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team, focusing on attracting, retaining, and nurturing talent.
  • Develop and maintain advanced power system study capabilities, including tools, models, and future state cases for technical investigations.
  • Lead projects to assist project proponents in evaluating the service contributions of their assets, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with AEMO's System Security Planning team and Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSPs) to prepare for future system transition points, driving efficiency and reliability.
Essential Qualifications
  • A strong academic background in a relevant discipline, such as engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of large power systems operation and planning, with a focus on emerging challenges in the NEM power system.
  • Proven experience in building and managing teams in complex technical environments, with a customer-centric approach that delivers results.
