Key Leadership Position Available

Fortuna Foundation is seeking a dynamic leader to join its Board of Directors as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable communities.

This role is primarily voluntary, however, a modest honorarium may be available for a commitment of 2–3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new funding opportunities to ensure financial sustainability
  • Provide strategic oversight, leadership, and governance aligned with Fortuna Foundation's mission and values.
  • Contribute to setting and reviewing the organization's strategic direction.
  • Monitor financial performance and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Represent the organization externally, advocating for its mission and building relationships with key stakeholders.

For this position, we are looking for a senior executive with a strong background in finance, community, or innovation leadership. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for making a difference.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing visionary leadership and strategic guidance to the organization
  2. Developing and implementing effective strategies to achieve the organization's goals
  3. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders
  4. Ensuring the organization's financial stability and growth through effective resource allocation
  5. Representing the organization in various forums and events, promoting its mission and values

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will possess a strong track record of leadership experience, preferably in a non-profit or charitable organization.

In addition to the general board skills and experience requirements, the Board is specifically seeking a senior executive with a strong background in finance, community, or innovation leadership.
