  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and own responsibility for providing functional and non-functional analysis to enable key business needs to be translated into technical specifications or other documentation, to facilitate the delivery of a program or multiple projects.
  • Undertake requirements gathering, data and process mapping and modelling.
  • Document and record findings in a meaningful way that is understood by stakeholders.
  • Support the strategy and planning of the project and work with various stakeholders across this business.
  • Ensure that documentation produced by team members meets project standards and take corrective action if required.
Requirements
  • A deep understanding of industry matters and regulatory compliance.
  • Extensive experience gathering, writing and analyzing requirements and taking them through to conceptualization.
  • Experience in authorizing technical documentation and end user documentation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to quickly analyze and develop data models, identify patterns, business rules, workflows and interfaces.
  • Ability to conceptualise, develop and articulate solutions and specify functional/non-functional technical requirements that are well accepted by stakeholders within short time-frames.
  • Effective communication (verbal or written) to internal and external stakeholders; strong interpersonal, consultation and facilitation skills with diverse internal teams.
  • Ability to work with initiative to ensure delivery targets are met; provide insights and impart knowledge within the project team to develop staff in project management skills.
Qualifications
  • Necessary tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline (business, human resources or finance).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
Skills

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the energy sector.

Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in data modeling and interface development.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
