Financial Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled financial management specialist to join our organization. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, timely and accurate accounting and financial administrative support services.

About the Role:

The Financial Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing daily financial transactions and reporting. This includes preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies, and providing insights and recommendations for financial planning and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial data and reports, including budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial results
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular audits and reviews
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess advanced level experience in MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. They will also have a strong understanding of job costing processes, SCHADS/AGED/NURSES awards and financial regulations. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including presentation skills are essential.

  • Bachelor in Business or Commerce majoring in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years experience in a similar position
  • Studying for or completion of Chartered Accountants (CA), Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent qualification (desirable)
  • Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) or ability to obtain
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
