Seeking a meticulous and dedicated finance professional to join our team as a Finance Accountant. This role will assist the Chief Financial Officer in the sound financial management of our corporate space through the delivery of comprehensive, timely accurate accounting and financial administrative support services.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily financial transactions and reporting
- Prepare and analyse financial statements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Provide insights and recommendations for financial planning and strategy
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare end of month financials for management
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Advanced level experience in MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Understanding of job costing processes
- Demonstrated understanding of SCHADS/AGED/NURSES awards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, including the ability to compile, analyse data and prepare reports
- A demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
- A demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce majoring in Accounting or Finance, or 5+ years experience in a similar position
- Studying for or completion of Chartered Accountants (CA), Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Positive Notice Working with Children clearance (or the ability to obtain)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)
