About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Officer to join our Workforce Development team. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the development, review, and implementation of innovative technology solutions, policies, and programs that support individual and collective capabilities through workforce development initiatives and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and support of best practice approaches, frameworks, and guidelines for workforce life cycle development initiatives and solutions.
  • Develop, research, and analyze the design and delivery of contemporary leadership and professional development programs and learning items to support the development of an engaged and productive workforce.
  • Coordinate, deliver, and maintain records relating to workforce development programs, activities, and initiatives to ensure efficient and effective program outcomes and governance, measurement, and reporting requirements.
  • Undertake high-level research and provide advice on key issues and trends that support human capital capability requirements and ensure effective decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective networks and work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve the defined and desired strategic outcomes of unit activities.
  • Undertake research, preparation, and review of reports, briefs, submissions, and other correspondence relating to leadership programs and initiatives in accordance with departmental requirements and governance.
  • Develop, deliver, and provide advice on key communication and information resources and materials to support the effective delivery of workforce development programs.
  • Identify and provide appropriate workforce development information and analysis to assist organisational stakeholders to monitor and report on compliance with whole-of-government workforce strategies and programs.
