Terminal Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Terminal Operations Manager to lead our Impala Kwinana Fuel Facility. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
About the Role- This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing the operations of the fuel facility, including terminal operations, vessel loading and unloading, stock management, and blending operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility, meeting customer requirements, and maintaining high-quality products.
- Terminal Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the fuel facility, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, regulatory standards, and Impala policies related to health, safety, environment, and security.
- Product Supply: Manage product supply capability, including monitoring daily and forecasted supply situations, managing continuity of supply, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Capex Management: Effectively manage capital projects, supporting Regional Operations Management with feasibility, engineering, procurement, and construction phases of externally managed projects.
- Maintenance: Manage maintenance activities, including establishing and monitoring effective work management processes, ensuring CMMS facilities are accurate and utilized effectively, and supervising major terminal works upgrades and planned equipment TAR/Shutdowns.
- Financial Management: Coordinate preparation of investment and expense budgets, monitor operations to ensure costs and expenditure are minimized and remain within budget, and identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Leadership/Team Development: Lead and develop staff to grow capability and competence while fostering proactive teamwork with other groups.
- Experience: 10-15 years in the petroleum business, in managing major Liquid Petroleum Terminal, including up to 6-7 years in a leadership role managing storage business.
- Skills: Strong business acumen, problem-solving and decision-making skills, managerial and leadership skills, good English written and oral communication skills, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, ability to draw on a broad network of relevant industry contacts.
