Role Overview

This position involves working with the Department of Health to provide counseling and support to children, young people, and their families who have experienced family violence.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will assist children and young people to recover from the effects of family violence trauma through the delivery of developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support.
  • You will conduct assessments of children, young people, and their families using standardised methods.
  • You will develop, implement, and evaluate programs for clients including group sessions and referrals as needed.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • You will require relevant qualifications in psychology such as a Master's degree or higher.
  • You will need experience working in family violence, trauma, and attachment frameworks.
  • You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
