
Family Violence Recovery Specialist

This position plays a vital role in supporting adults affected by family violence. As a dedicated professional, you will work with individuals to help them recover from their experiences and provide essential information, assessment, and therapeutic interventions.
- Key responsibilities include providing support and advice to clients and other service providers, identifying and developing services required to meet the needs of adults, children, and young people affected by family violence, and liaising with other relevant program areas to ensure coordination of services.
You will be part of a professional team working together to provide services to adults and children affected by family violence as part of a multidisciplinary Family Violence Service established through the Government's Safe at Home initiative.
Essential skills and qualifications- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence and its impact on adults, children, and young people is essential for success in this role.
- Able to work effectively with adults, children, and young people with complex needs, apply appropriate models of intervention, including the developmental needs of children and young people.
- Exercise professional judgement and initiative, work with general supervision, and seek guidance as appropriate.
