Lead Horticultural Team Member

This leadership opportunity focuses on providing top-notch garden maintenance services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

The successful applicant will lead a skilled team in achieving these objectives by delegating tasks effectively, prioritizing workloads, and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

A key aspect of this role is regular site inspections to assess garden conditions, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

This position also involves interacting with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Direct and motivate a team of maintenance staff to achieve exceptional results.
  • Scheduling and Task Management: Develop and manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their horticultural skills and workplace safety practices.
  • Garden Inspections: Regularly inspect garden areas to assess conditions, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
  • Client Communication: Interact with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens: Essential qualification for this role.
  • Working with Children Check: Must be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check.
  • White Card: Required for this position.
  • Valid Drivers' License: Necessary for job duties.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
