Key Role Overview

The City of Greater Dandenong is seeking a skilled Team Leader Horticulture to oversee the planning and delivery of horticultural maintenance programs across the city's parks, reserves, and public open spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead internal horticulture crews and contractors to ensure high quality presentation of parks, reserves and public open spaces.
  • Oversee service delivery in line with scheduled programs and standards, manage equipment and resources, and respond to community requests.
  • Drive innovation and improvement in horticultural practices through effective team leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Horticulture.
  • Several years experience working in local government or similar environment.
  • Contract management and parks and open space maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of open space maintenance programs, with high level problem solving skills.
