Job Overview

The Assistant Director plays a key role in leading and supporting the team in delivering high-quality Out of Hours School Care and education.

This is an opportunity for experienced leaders and professionals to make a positive impact in a values-driven environment, staying up to date with best practices and community requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create an inclusive environment where learning and growth are central for children and educators, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Design and coordinate experiences aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework and aimed to meet or exceed the National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children in your care, supervising and supporting them during indoor/outdoor activities, meals, and rest periods.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment, championing child protection protocols and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification with demonstrated industry experience in a comparable role is preferred, such as a Diploma or Cert III/IV in Youth Work, Social Work, Allied Health, or related fields.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and current RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass Certificate are essential.
  • First Aid Certificate is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to build positive relationships with children, commit to inclusive practices, and collaborate effectively within a team are required.
