About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Lasseters Hotel Casino in Alice Springs. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present high-quality food that meets our culinary standards.
  • Kitchen Management: Manage the kitchen team, including training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain: Manage inventory, ordering, and supply chain to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Team Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the kitchen team.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery: Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate: Hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
