Our client is looking to appoint two experienced senior leaders to join their WA transport and operations teams. Both roles offer a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on service delivery, safety culture, and operational excellence.
State Transport ManagerYou will hold full accountability for the strategic and operational management of the transport function across WA. You'll lead a team of transport professionals focused on efficient, cost-effective freight movement aligned with national objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement the state transport strategy, optimising fleet utilisation and service delivery.
Lead, mentor, and manage transport teams, embedding a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Monitor compliance, budgets, KPIs, and customer service standards.
Engage with customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve transport-related issues.
What you bring:
Cert IV or higher in Transport & Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in transport/logistics operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Experience with SAP and freight scanning systems.
Proven success driving process improvements and system implementations.
State Operations ManagerYou will lead operational performance and safety across transport, warehousing, and freight handling functions. Your role is pivotal in championing WHS compliance and fostering a customer-focused, high-performing team.
Key responsibilities:
Drive a safety-first culture and meet WHS performance targets, including incident and compliance management.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
Manage operational costs, staffing, contractors, and performance metrics.
Deliver insightful financial and operational reports to senior leadership.
Lead recruitment, training, and development initiatives aligned with organisational values.
What you bring:
Cert IV and Diploma (or higher) in Logistics, Business, Management, or similar.
Accredited WHS and Dangerous Goods training; HR/IR expertise is a plus.
5+ years in senior operational management within transport, logistics, or rail.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, industrial relations, and union engagement.
Proficiency in SAP, transport management systems, and warehouse operations.
Experience in FMCG or retail logistics highly desirable.
