Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled finance professional to join our team in Sydney, New South Wales.

This role is ideal for a finance expert with an AP or Assistant Accountant background, looking to drive process efficiency and work in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant role
  • Strong understanding of AP processes and financial systems (SAP or similar ERP preferred)
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to financial tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you will be working with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with expense management tools

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, coding, and approvals
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment or invoice queries
  • Processing employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Reconciling supplier statements and assisting with month-end close including AP accruals
  • Maintaining accurate AP records and supporting compliance and audit requirements
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations, payment runs, and data entry tasks
  • Providing general support across the finance team as needed
  • Contributing to ongoing improvements in AP processes and reporting
