Production Support Specialist

The Production Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless manufacture of medical devices. This individual is responsible for various activities external to the cleanroom area, including equipment washing, stock labeling, receipt of gowns, and packaging of final products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Laboratory:
    • Receipt of gowns and transfer into classified storage areas.
    • Assistance with cleaning down and passing in of stock into the clean room, completing stock transfer forms.
    • Cleaning of reusable items for manufacture using washer disinfectors and autoclave cycles.
  • Maintenance of Cycle Records:
    • Cleaning of equipment.
    • Assistance with coordination of waste removal.
    • Dispatch of garments.
    • Assistance with packaging and labeling of final products.
    • Participation in departmental and organizational meetings as required.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Assistance with labeling and storage of materials.
    • Co-checking and dispatch of routine QC samples.
    • Participation in internal and external audits as required.
  • Training and Development:
    • Completion of GMP training annually.
    • Required training for assigned duties.
    • Maintenance and update of training documentation.

Relationships:

  • Internal: Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Operations, R&D.
