Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as Head of Construction and Procurement. This is a prestigious role that will involve managing teams, developing strategies, and building relationships with suppliers to drive value and growth for our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- People Management: Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure their success.
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring the right capability and capacity in the regional procurement organizations.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, developing solutions to meet project and customer needs.
- Partnership Development: Establish and develop partnerships with cross-functional suppliers to gain competitive advantages and drive value.
- Commercial Contract Negotiation: Lead the procurement process throughout the bidding process, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and competitiveness of our supplier base.
- Supply Market Intelligence: Build and maintain supply market intelligence to ensure the supply base is available to enable our sustainable growth strategy.
- Cost Out and Value Creation: Identify and act upon cost out and value creation opportunities, ensuring relevant risk assessments are completed and risk is reduced.
Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering, business, law, or finance.
- Minimum 6+ years of procurement, commercial, or project management experience, ideally within wind energy, power plants, infrastructure, or the construction industry.
- Strong business acumen and a passion for developing supplier relationships.
- Experience with commercial negotiations and a high level of commercial acumen.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams.
- Able to manage complex supplier relationships.
- Ability to negotiate large infrastructure projects.
- Well-organized and disciplined approach.
- Show initiative and creativity in finding solutions.
- Sociable and communicative approach.
- Confidence in presenting to senior levels.
- Strong negotiator and influencing style.
