The role of an administration assistant in a community program requires strong organisational skills to support the development and growth of the team. This involves coordinating daily operations, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring a respectful and inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities include managing finances, generating vouchers, tracking distributions, and maintaining records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for following up with schools that cease using funds or fail to distribute family vouchers.

Additionally, the administration assistant will provide weekly updates to the Schools' Breakfast Manager on progress and any issues. A key aspect of this role is working within a team environment to ensure safe, timely, and effective delivery.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • 2-3 years' experience as an administrator in a medium to large organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • The ability to organise, multitask, and prioritise.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously.
  • Initiative and solutions-focused approach with good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum direction and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Sound knowledge of computer systems including an ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
