Job Overview:

This role is integral to the delivery of claims management services. As a Claims Consultant, you will handle a portfolio of general insurance claims for clients with a focus on liability claims.

The successful candidate will have good written and oral communication skills, be able to remain calm under pressure, and work flexibly when required. Experience managing public liability/casualty claims, relevant tertiary qualifications, and previous client-facing experience would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end processes for a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property claims;
  • Conduct accurate reserving, claims investigation, manage claims costs, and negotiate with third parties;
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients, and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure;
  • Flexibility to work at least three days a week in the office;
  • Experience managing public liability/casualty claims;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications;
  • Previous client-facing experience.
