About This Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ecommerce Director to lead our ecommerce strategy across Australia and New Zealand. As the Ecommerce Director, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our marketplace ecommerce offering by developing and implementing effective ecommerce campaigns on platforms/marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Citrus, Facebook, and Google.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and implement data-driven ecommerce strategies that deliver high-quality results across platforms/marketplaces.
- Develop audits and scorecards to identify optimisation opportunities, including keyword research, budgeting, and make recommendations regarding media and advertising opportunities.
- Improve brand presence, SEO/REO (including detail page optimisation) across ecommerce marketplaces through thorough research and data analysis.
- Oversee Seller/Vendor Central operations, such as account health checks, pricing strategy recommendations, and product reviews analysis.
- Stay updated on ecommerce industry trends and compile relevant data into client-facing collateral to inform campaign strategies.
- Participate in new business opportunities related to marketplace ecommerce - commercially and strategically.
- Aptitude for merchandising/content optimisation on ecommerce marketplaces is a significant advantage.
- Multitasking across different projects/brands with excellent time management skills is essential.
- Demonstrate an ability to convey complex information in a simple and easy-to-understand manner to customers and stakeholders.
- Aptitude to think critically, make informed decisions, and have a point of view.
- Comfortable challenging existing processes for customer benefit and business growth.
- A self-starter who thrives in an environment that fosters intrapreneurialism.
- Able to influence ecommerce-focused new business pitches and work closely with other department leaders to develop optimum proposals.
- Confident presenting to equivalent-level clients (Marketing Director and above).
- Able to effectively communicate direction to team members, demonstrating good emotional intelligence and judgement.
- Able to inspire people at all levels and build relationships with other craft specialists.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in ecommerce strategy development and implementation.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce marketplaces and platforms, including Amazon, eBay, and Google.
- Data analysis and interpretation skills, with experience in using metrics to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to senior-level clients.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive results-oriented solutions.
- Results-driven mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.
