About the Role

The Middle Office Analyst is a key position within Shell Energy, responsible for modeling and data analytics across various areas, including Domestic Customer Demand Forecasting, Risk Management, and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex mathematical models to analyze and forecast energy demand and risk management metrics.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, and Trading teams to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply knowledge to improve business outcomes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new models and ways of working.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or engineering.
  • Proven experience in mathematical modeling, data analysis, and risk management.
  • Strong programming skills, including proficiency in languages such as VBA, Python, or R.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
