Job Description

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted strategic partner and subject matter expert for all commercial and legal matters, providing high-quality advice and overseeing legal operations related to the Solutions business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Legal Leadership and Expertise: Provide strategic advice on commercial and legal matters, including IP, data protection, and regulatory issues.
  • Contract Management: Lead the drafting, negotiation, and management of domestic and international contracts, including procurement, technology, IP, and data protection agreements.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop junior legal team members to ensure timely, commercial, and strategic legal support.
  • Risk and Compliance Oversight: Anticipate and advise on IP, competition, and data protection issues, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and managing legal disputes and regulatory matters.
  • Operational Efficiency and Improvement: Contribute to the development of the legal team's strategy, create standard templates, improve legal processes, and manage legal budgets, particularly within APAC operations.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least 10 years' post-qualification experience, specialising in commercial and technology contracts/transactions. They will have experience advising on commercial and technology law across APAC, with a focus on IP, data protection, and transactions. A proven track record of working with senior management, including executive and board levels, in complex environments is essential.
