Job Description:

As a Senior Manager, Assurance Standards, you will redefine the quality standards of 2nd Line Risk Assurance across various domains. This includes SOX Prudential, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Project Management responsibilities.

  • Redefine quality standards in line with regulatory change and evolving risk management practices.
  • Re-engineer 2nd Line Risk Assurance processes, developing methodologies, training, and quality frameworks to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead annual assurance testing and transformation initiatives, including Analytics & Automation strategies to optimize results.
  • Perform independent reviews and evaluations along the change process, challenging the status quo to ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Maintain updates to the Risk and Compliance Assurance Manual, ensuring tools and methods are fit for purpose to support business growth.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for their responsibilities in enhancing risk frameworks and rolling out effective solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Services (assurance, risk, compliance, quality assurance, practice management, process optimisation, project management backgrounds).
  • Demonstrable ability to standardise and optimise controls effectively and efficiently.
  • Outstanding project coordination skills for complex projects in Tier-1 financial institutions.
  • Potential leadership skills to recruit and manage a team.
  • Relevant qualifications desirable (CA, CISA, CIA, FRM, MBA).
  • Technical aptitudes in data analytics, business intelligence, automation advantageous.

This role requires a high level of expertise in risk management and assurance standards. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure all parties exercise their responsibility in enhancing risk frameworks.
