The Infrastructure and Health Support Services (IHSS) department is responsible for delivering infrastructure, facilities management, and non-clinical support services to the Canberra Health Services (CHS) organization.
The Manager, Facilities Accommodation role will report to the Director, Engineering Services and undertake key activities to support the efficient allocation of office accommodation, including planning, management, and implementation of accommodation relocation requests.
The role requires close collaboration with clinical teams and external providers to achieve timely patient-centric solutions.
The Manager, Facilities Accommodation will be responsible for managing a small team to complete building occupancy audits to identify opportunities to maximize utilization of office accommodation.
Central to this task is the effective implementation of the Eptura workspace software pilot program to streamline relocations, provide increased transparency of office utilization, and reduce manual auditing burden.
The role also involves coordination of disposal, procurement, and installation of furniture, fittings, and equipment (FF&E) to support accommodation relocations, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence while minimizing impacts to clinical services.
A key function of the role is engaging with internal and external stakeholders and managing stakeholders' expectations to deliver agreed project outcomes.
