Procurement and Inventory Specialist

The Procurement and Inventory Specialist is responsible for the timely and effective procurement of finished goods and materials for ANZ, ensuring the supply chain can support market demand.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and update master data records related to suppliers, product, inventory, and pricing, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data.
- Coordinate internal workflow for the creation of supplier master data.
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to manage supply & demand requirements, maintaining economic order quantities, supplier lead times, safety stock levels, and forecast.
- Support demand forecasting and planning, recommending and/or effecting adjustments.
- Plan, place, and administer orders with suppliers, including management of dates based on supplier acknowledgements and business requirements.
- Manage backorders risks and communicate closely with the commercial teams.
- Liaise with the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely processing of supplier invoices.
- Work closely with the Product Management Team assisting to manage inventory levels, through monitoring of forecasts, re-order methodologies and levels, safety stock, and new product introductions. Highlight slow-moving inventory.
- Determine and coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective mode of transport for incoming goods, considering in-transit inventory, stocked inventory levels, and lead times.
- Review and develop tools, processes, and strategies to improve procurement activities, with the aim of meeting inventory demands, minimizing working capital, and improving supplier performance.
- Measure supplier performance, analyze, review, and provide timely feedback to the suppliers and the business. Communicate with and lead suppliers to implement improvement activities to drive delivery performance. Monitor and report improvements against stated goals.
- Min 3-5 years of relevant purchasing and planning experience, preferably within a global product distribution organization.
- SAP experience advantageous.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Meticulous analytical and data management skills.
- A strong understanding of supply chain discipline and function with assist the successful candidate in this role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to influence and engage with stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills, customer focus, and adaptability.
- Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team.
