Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Development Specialist to join our team at the Oxley Police Academy. The facility offers large open spaces, training rooms, an on-site café, access to a free gymnasium and secure car parking for all staff.

 

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will provide leadership and direction to plan, coordinate and facilitate training programs in their area of responsibility.
  • They will be responsible for managing coordination of education and training, including travel for members, facilities and equipment purchases.
  • The successful applicant will identify, develop and implement strategies to efficiently coordinate training needs and activities.
  • Cultivating relationships with internal and external clients, stakeholders and service providers is essential to enhance service delivery outcomes.
  • They will also manage and co-ordinate the preparation of financial plans and expenditure monitoring, providing timely advice to management.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines is crucial.
  • A qualification in Assessment and Training (e.g. Certificate IV or higher) or accredited tertiary qualification in adult education would be highly regarded.
