Energy Transition Solutions Analyst Job Description

Aurora's software solutions team is building a global investment analytics platform for the energy transition.

This platform is widely adopted by leading energy companies and investors, changing the way that energy market analytics is performed and delivered.

The Client Solutions team sits at the critical interface between end users and teams that develop software solutions.

As Aurora expands its software presence in APAC, this team plays a crucial role in the company's growth.

We are seeking an experienced analyst to join the Client Solutions team in Melbourne, train, advise, and support software customers within the APAC region.

The successful candidate will combine analytical ability with excellent communication skills and a passion to work with energy sector clients to integrate software products into their decision-making processes.

They will be confident in topics concerning power markets and the energy transition and desire to work in a creative, intellectually stimulating environment where they will play a driving role in one of the company's key strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support leading developers, utilities, and funds to integrate software products into their decision-making processes.
  • Meet with clients in-person and virtually to support their usage of our software products, building relationships to help grow and retain the client base in APAC.
  • Guide customers as they use the software suite to conduct asset valuations and construct long-term power market scenarios to inform their market view.
  • Troubleshoot wide-ranging client requests and help clients interpret complex results, using your power markets knowledge and data analysis skills.
  • Onboard new accounts and develop deep knowledge about their use cases for our products, leveraging technical expertise across the software suite and relevant power markets knowledge.
  • Represent the client's voice internally, conveying feedback to the product teams to refine product roadmaps.
  • Actively contribute to knowledge building and expanding the capabilities of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM subject.
  • At least 1 year of professional exposure in an analytical, client-facing role with B2B experience.
  • Deep interest in the energy transition and SaaS products.
  • Self-starter with a creative problem-solving approach and ability to rapidly assimilate new knowledge.
  • Passion for working with clients across the energy sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate and collaborate with both technically and non-technically minded parties on a range of complex topics.
  • Able to analyze, interpret, and derive insights from complex quantitative data and information.
  • Customer-first mindset with the confidence to pursue outcomes mutually beneficial to all stakeholders.
