Project Oversight Specialist

The primary objective of this position is to oversee Site Supervisors across multiple projects, and be fully responsible for planning, organizing, and managing assigned project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 4-6 Site Supervisors.
  • Review project plans, schedule, and specifications; comment on construction design, scheduling, cost savings measures, and potential construction problems.
  • Forecast operational requirements, allocate labor and trade resources on assigned projects; ensure labor is used to optimum performance.
  • Monitor the performance of construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring performance aligns with the scope of work.
  • In conjunction with the Construction Manager, attend site meetings, liaise with clients, contractors, or subcontractors to discuss projects, resolve issues.
  • Scheduling ordering materials and quantity takeoffs.
  • Monitor cost control, liaise with the Construction Manager on potential issues.
  • Identify, analyze, and report on variations.
OHSE&Q Management
  • Regularly inspect construction sites to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
  • In conjunction with Site Supervisors, maintain control and responsibility for security and operations of company-owned vehicles, equipment, plant, and tools.
  • Maintain and enforce high-quality construction standards and quality control of OH&S practices.
  • Ensure commercial-in-confidence information and documentation is secured at all times.
  • Ensure Clients' management systems are implemented across assigned projects; recommend potential changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
Successful Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years' field experience in a similar role.
  • Civil Engineering Degree.
  • Must have Bridge and Concrete Structure experience.
  • Able to manage multiple projects across South Australia.
  • Excellent supervision, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Australian Construction industry's applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
  • This is a full-time position, and remuneration will be based on your skills and experience.
  • You need to meet any requirements necessary to safely perform your role (e.g., receiving a COVID-19 vaccination).
