The Opportunity

This is a challenging role where you will have the opportunity to lead a team of skilled individuals and play a key part in ensuring our workshop operations meet customer requirements.

As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and organizing the day-to-day activities of your team members, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively. You will also be expected to collaborate with other teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

  • Maintain work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team on yearly Apprenticeship programs
  • Work across a range of Construction and Mining equipment
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day activities of workshop personnel and ensure labour is used most effectively
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders pertaining to customers, machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty
  • Ensure employees and contractors comply with all WHS responsibilities and maintain a safety-first culture within the department

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Relevant diesel or mobile plant mechanic trade qualifications
  • Similar supervisory experience with strong leadership skills and ability to get the team to work cohesively
  • Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles
  • Experience in the maintenance of mining & construction equipment (advantageous if you have experience with Hitachi equipment)
  • Excellent time management with ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to use initiative to contribute and support continuous improvement and drive change
