Job Title: Cook - Lincoln Grove

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at RetireAustralia's Lincoln Grove Retirement Village. As our in-house Cook, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining services to our residents, ensuring they enjoy delicious and nutritious meals while adhering to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.

The Position:

  • Assist in the control and monitoring of stock take, food orders, and costing for an efficient kitchen operation.
  • Maintain and manage food handling regulations.
  • Plan and prepare food for events and special functions within the village.
  • Ensure privacy and confidentiality policies are adhered to strictly and information regarding our residents will only be provided to external parties by management.

Requirements:

  • Good availability across weekdays and weekends.
  • Availability to work every 2nd Wednesday night – 4 hour shift.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in preparation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate meals specific to a range of special requirements for elderly residents.
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/formal Chef/Cook training.
  • Current Food Handling Certificate.
  • National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing.
