Production Supervisor Job Description

Austal is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our painting team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring preparation and painting works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will oversee daily operations, coordinate resources, and lead your team to meet project milestones while maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and communicate daily and weekly task requirements to the team
  • Identify risks or constraints impacting task delivery and consult key stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate project delivery while managing stakeholder expectations
  • Conduct performance reviews and address employee matters in line with company policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification in a relevant field with 10 years trade experience in heavy industrial or marine
  • Previous experience in a supervisory position
